OUR NEWEST TREATMENT TO REVITALIZE YOUR SKIN AND BRING BACK THAT YOUTHFUL GLOW!

Micro-Needling with PRP (platelet rich plasma)

PRP

What is micro-needling?
Micro-needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of skin texture, tone and color,  fine lines and acne scars.  The procedure is done with a special micro pen that utilizes a sterile cartridge of tiny fine needles to create controlled micro-injury to the the skin.  The body’s natural response to injury is to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen, which improves the overall quality of the skin as it heals.  The micro-channels allow topical gels and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the dermis of the skin to further enhance the healing process.

Microneedling

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?
Platelet Rich Plasma derived from each person’s own blood (autologous) is one of the most advantageous products to stimulate robust skin healing by stimulating the influx of a series of growth factors into the dermis of the skin.  Platelets are the key driver in this process.  Platelet derived growth factor stimulates the influx of macrophages and fibroblast to the zone of injury.  Collagen growth and proteoglycans synthesis are stimulated.  In addition, the following growth factors are stimulated in the zone of healing:  epidermal growth factor, transforming growth factor, vascular endothelial growth factor, fibroblast growth factor, collagen stimulating growth factor and keratinocyte growth factor.  The result is new, robust collagen, and stimulation of elastin and blood vessel growth in the treated skin area.

The result: softer, smoother, silkier, pumper, more radiant skin.
You will notice a “glow” after the first treatment, however the deeper changes in the skin are a healing process and will take  8-12 weeks to fully develop. Generally, 2-3 treatments are needed to optimize the skin improvement. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging and acne scars as many as 6-8 treatments may be required to achieve optimum improvement. As with all skin treatments, periodic maintenance treatments will be required to maintain optimal skin condition.  This may mean once or twice a year treatments after the original series is complete.

Benefits:  Affordable, Effective, Minimal Downtime, Minimal Discomfort, Safe for all skin types and Natural Results. Results can be achieved alone or in combination with Botox, fillers and other skin procedures, depending on the individual patients needs. Please consult Stefanie Magnant, RN regarding this procedure.
