Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Enhancing Your Appearance with an Arm Lift
An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. Fluctuations in weight, aging, and genetics can lead to sagging or drooping skin in the upper arms. As we age, the skin in this area can become loose and flabby. While exercise can strengthen and improve the underlying muscles, it cannot address excess skin that has lost elasticity or underlying weakened tissues and localized fat deposits.

Our doctors will discuss brachioplasty with patients who wish to tighten the skin in their upper arms and enhance their appearance. In some cases, your doctor may recommend liposuction alone or in combination with an arm lift to remove excess fat in the upper arms.

What an Arm Lift Does:

  • Reduces excess skin and fat between the underarm and elbow

  • Reshapes the arm for smoother skin and more defined contours

  • Results in a more toned and proportionate appearance

Important Note: While an arm lift can significantly enhance your appearance, it will leave a scar on the inside of your upper arm.

Is an Arm Lift Right for You?
Candidates for an arm lift generally include:

  • Adults with significant upper arm skin laxity

  • Adults whose weight is stable and who are not significantly overweight

  • Healthy individuals without medical conditions that could impair healing or increase surgery risks

  • Non-smokers

  • Individuals with a positive outlook and realistic expectations
