Safely and comfortably fade the appearance of skin imperfections caused by the sun, and uneven skin tones caused by brown and red spots (such as rosacea, spider veins and age spots).
We here at RiverSong Plastic Surgery are proud to offer Elos, the first and only technology that uses combined energies to effectively and gently restore and rejuvenate the appearance of your skin.
Our knowledgeable Estheticians will assess your skin during a skin care consultation and determine the correct course of treatment.
Elos is an effective treatment for most skin types.
The combined bi-polar radiofrequency and light energies of Elos technology precisely and safely target pigmented lesions such as freckles, sun spots and age spots. Vascular lesions such as spider vessels and redness from rosacea are also lightened and gradually fade.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does IPL cost?
Every patient case is unique, which means the cost of IPL will be dependent on your unique condition. RiverSong Plastic Surgery offers monthly specials and accepts many forms of payment. During your initial visit, we can help estimate your cost and determine the number of treatments for optimal results.
Does IPL hurt?
Cooling of the skin surface ensures additional comfort during treatment. This is a no-downtime procedure. Most patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment.
How immediate are the results of IPL?
Improvements can be seen within days after each treatment. It’s common for patients to respond differently to each treatment session. Patients will see a gradual improvement of redness, blotchiness, sunspots, and age spots over time.
What are the possible side effects of IPL?
Most patients experience mild side effects. Freckles and age spots darken after treatment then fade after 10-14 days. These subside within a day or two after the procedure. Patients should always wear sunscreen to protect their skin.
Do I need to prep for IPL?
Prior to IPL treatments patients are asked to avoid self-tanners and sun exposure. There can be no tan on areas to be treated. You should discontinue the use of minocycline, tetracycline and doxycycline two weeks prior to treatment. Retin-A/Renova should be discontinued a month prior to treatment. You should also protect the treated areas with sunscreen between sessions.
